“I see the importance of cultural integration when working within our communities. New Zealand is a diverse and interconnected community and I hope that it only increases its degree of diversity and interconnectedness. It is time for our rangatahi to pick up this mahi and kaupapa and carry it forward. I hope my role as a UNESCO Aotearoa Youth Leader will ensure that my people and my community are heard.”
