Red Cross Appeal

A powerful earthquake struck Canterbury at lunchtime on the 22 February 2011.  Five days later 147 bodies have been recovered while hundreds of people remain missing.  It is one of our country’s worst natural disasters in recorded history.  Historic Christchurch has been devastated and search teams continue to scour the city’s ruins.  Countries from around the world have been quick to offer support to New Zealand at this terrible time.
