The New Zealand National Commission for UNESCO recently invited expressions of interest (EOI) for our 2019/20 Major Grants contestable funding round.
We are seeking to fund innovative projects, events, programmes or initiatives that reflect our mission and strategic priorities, up to the level of between $10,000 and $40,000. As UNESCO is an organisation of ‘ideas’, we are especially interested in projects that demonstrate new ways of working and which have the potential to lead to positive long-term change at a national or regional level. In light of the 15 March terrorist attacks in Christchurch, particular consideration will be given to initiatives that reinforce the core UNESCO values of equality, diversity and democracy.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited to submit a full application, which will be due by 23 July.
Please read our application pack to learn more about the purpose of the funding and the evaluation criteria for major grants. It outlines our strategic priorities and describes the two-stage application process.
